For my artist statement i will be getting some words and ideas from my proposal that i done a few weeks ago. Explain more about myself what i do and ideas that i have done along the way.

My art practice consists of illustrations and animations, representing myself, friends, and my family with the aim to communicate our experiences in stories. I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, working between the two programs so that they complement each other and produce comic book style images that are unique. My cultural values play a big part in my practice and my stories reflect my everyday experiences, for example I like to undermine stereotypes that are usually projected onto young brown men such as myself. Flipping these typecasts with humour and using motifs from cartoons that I used to watch when I was young. This is all done in an attempt to communicate my perspective and to provide a voice that portrays my experiences in a positive light, with the intention of sharing these stories with my community and other people who can relate to these same experiences.
